NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization  MISSION STATEMENT

The NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization each seeks the fair and expanded protection of the United States’ drug supply and Independent Business, while providing and maintaining checks and balances on Big Pharma to help insure the best service at the lowest price, with the utmost protection against counterfeit drugs and diversion, for the consuming pubic.

 ABOUT NAIPW /AIPWA

The NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization  were established in December 2006, after RxUSA Wholesale, Inc., et. al. prevailed in an action against the United States Department of Health and Human Services and the Food and Drug Administration (Federal Citation CV 06-5086 [JS] Eastern District of New York ) seeking to stop these government agencies from implementing regulations which would have totally destroyed the independent secondary pharmaceutical wholesale distributors of the United States, and eliminate the safety provided by complete pedigree protection of the nations drug supply.

The founders and officers of NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization , RxUSA, Inc., are Robert Drucker, R. Ph. and Mark Scovotti, R. Ph., have been involved in the profession of Pharmacy since 1955 and 1977, respectively.

 NAIPW /AIPWA PURPOSE

The purpose in forming the NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization  was to provide a national face, voice and fair solution for the correction of weakness of the national commitment to the safety of the nation’s drug supply caused by, in our opinion, Big Pharma’s gutting the intent of the PDMA, for the introduction and enforcement of an e-pedigree system. The group of three major US Giant Pharmaceutical Wholesale Distributors and their trade organization HDMA, representing only Big Pharma, created and executed a plan, via lobbying and whatever other means were and at their disposal, to try to effectively destroy virtually the entire independent secondary pharmaceutical wholesale distribution market in the United States and destroy equal and fair application of laws requiring 100% pedigree issuance and compliance, with free availability to everyone in the US distribution chain of prescription drugs.

Federal Judge Johanna Seybert issued an order granting Plaintiffs RxUSA Wholesale, Inc., et. al. an order enjoining the FDA/HHS on 12/5/2006 (hyperlink to litigation).  The NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization  will provide help and information to the United States Congress, the Administration, and Attorney Generals of all States of this nation, and consumers and professionals in the Health Care sector, to ward off the damage to this nation’s free enterprise system caused by Big Pharma’s almost successful attempt to destroy the entire secondary independent pharmaceutical wholesale distribution system in the United States.

The impact of Big Pharma’s effective actions, in our opinion was, is and will be:

  1. Higher drug prices for all facets of US society: citizens, government agencies, state agencies, and municipal agencies.
  2. The destruction of all independent secondary pharmaceutical distributor competition left in the United States by the Big 3 Pharmaceutical wholesalers, who presently control more than 95% of the wholesale distribution industry in the United States.
  3. Virtual monopsonistic control over most, if not all, pharmaceutical manufacturers in the United States, as to their ability to supply legitimate Distributors and to freely negotiate pricing and distribution without the pressures of the Big 3 Pharma/HDMA collective pressures. Smaller independent manufacturers have had essentially one choice- take Big 3 Pharma’s fee for service or lose the ability to sell their product through the remaining 95% controlled distribution channels of the Big 3.
  4. A total weakening, if not castration, of the efforts of Congress and the public to effectively and more completely protect the safety and security of the nation’s drugs supply using E-Pedigree compliance                             .

The NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization's approach will focus on the business of Pharmaceutical drug pricing, drug supply safety, and assuring the availability and benefits of keeping alive, our American free enterprise system for all citizens, senior citizens, health care-related businesses and professionals, hospitals, clinics, physicians, veterinarians, pharmacists, pharmacies, and independent pharmaceutical secondary wholesale distributors.

WHY NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization  NEEDS YOU

The  NAIPW  organization and the AIPWA organization  seeks membership from all businesses, organizations, people and corporations, in the United States and worldwide who are interested in:

  1. Securing the enhanced safety of national and world drug supply
  2. Keeping prescription drug prices down
  3. Maintaining freedom of competition in the pharmaceutical industry.
  4. Stopping predatory monopolistic and monopsonistic control over the independent pharmaceutical industry members by Big Pharma.
  5. Establishing a national, perhaps international, uniform standard of E-Pedigree compliance for all pharmaceutical industry members, which must be freely available and freely transmissible to all.
  6. Trying to Insure that Big Pharma does not misuse its power to destroy competition, using the vast lobbying power and money of the Big 3 and HDMA.
